Hallerbos, the blue forest in Belgium

Hallerbos, also known as the Blue Forest, is a forest in Belgium, which in spring is covered by millions of wildflowers - wild boar.

This fantastic forest, every year, in April and May, transforms into a fabulous landscape. Meanwhile, amidst the broad layer of flowers there are winding paths - where people can enjoy walking in this amazing setting.

In addition to the smell of zymbylave, visitors can also enjoy watching the rabbits and deer, which are not few in this forest.

The phenomenon of "blue forests" is not uncommon in Europe, but Hallerbos differs because of the density of trees and the beauty of flowers - but also because of its easy access to it because it is located near Brussels.

Kwame Akoto-Bamfo is a Ghanaian sculptor. His outdoor sculpture dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Transatlantic slave trade is on display at the National Memorial for Peace and Justice that opened in 2018 in Montgomery, Alabama.
