Agrat bat Mahlat

Agrat bat Mahlat.
One of the four Angels of prostitution ‘Agrat Bat Mahlat’ is a ‘Succubus’ a Demon who takes the form of a beautiful woman that comes to men in their dreams to seduce them into sexual intercourse. The Succubi do this in order to drain the energy they need to sustain their being from their victims, often exhausting their victims to the point of death.
Her fellow Succubi ‘Lilith, Naamah and Eisheth’ make up the remaining three Angels of prostitution. Agrat Bat Mahlat’s name is thought to translate roughly from Hebrew into ‘the daughter of illusion’, and she is also known as ‘the bringer of deception’.
Agrat Bat Mahlat and her fellow Succubi are believed to be the Queens of Hell and the four wives of Satan, with Agrat Bat Mahlat being the ruler of the Western quarter. It is generally believed that the best and possibly only way to prevent attack by or to banish a Succubus is through the art of prayer, particularly through the use of the ‘Saint Michael’s prayer’.
"Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Hosts, thrust into Hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl through the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen"
